| Your Future - Your Profit: European Certificate in Entrepreneurships (ECENT) | |
This EU Leonardo da Vinci Pilot Project (procedure B) is coordinated by the Steiermark Economic Society, based in Graz, Austria.
It involves 6 EU countries, Austria, Finland, Germany, Spain, UK, Poland and 1 non-EU Switzerland. The project lasts 2 years and finishes in August 2007. |
Development and improvement of entrepreneurial spirit is not only a main task for the formal education system, it is a challenge to use various approaches within and beside the formal education system and to
generate visible entrepreneurial competences, also referring to European and national qualification frame
works and key competences.
A lot of experiences and concrete approaches for entrepreneurship education exist already, national, European and global documentations give a background about the situation in nations, in Europe and the world (Greenbook, EU-Commission Global Entrepreneurship Monitor etc.).
But: There exist no valid instrument to compare various approaches for entrepreneurship education to measure impacts and effects of investments in the improvement of education systems and results and success of policies and strategies.
There exists no valid instrument until now to make visible entrepreneurial competences, especially in the field of behaviour and attitudes, independent weather gained formal or non formal or informal.
With the new instrument “Entrepreneurship Certificate” – a result of a former Leonardo project “European Your Future – Your Profit” a new useful tool was developed, which can be used to measure, to compare, to improve activities in the field of entrepreneurship education on European, national, regional and local level.
This instrument can be used also as individual certificate for job application by candidates and recruiters.(mentoring, tutoring).. |
