Dundee College is a Further Education College and is the 4th largest in Scotland. It has a total student population of over 20,000 and consists of both full and part time students.
The College also has in addition an International Sector and is actively involved in various Leonardo da Vinci programmes including.
Student Mobility Exchange – both sending and receiving students from abroad. This involves the College working with local employers in Dundee and with colleges in other parts of Europe – Gea college in Slovenia, Jean Albert Gregoire in Angouleme, France and Gabriel Peri college in Toulouse.
The college offers a wide range of courses at a variety of levels – National Certificate, Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma. As with all Scottish Education, its qualifications are governed by the Scottish Qualifications Agency - SQA.
The courses ran are in every area of education i.e. Marketing, European Business, Social Care, Computing, Accounts, Science, Art and Design, Fashion, Hairdressing, Alternative Therapies, Special Needs, Catering, Tourism and Leisure. The courses ran across all areas cover both Vocational and Non-vocational needs. All courses taught at Dundee College are modular at every level. |
